Chumash Team to Help Sow and Reap at Veggie Rescue Farm

Members of Team Chumash, the volunteer group from the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Foundation, will spend the morning of Aug. 10 helping out at Shepherd Giving Farm, Veggie Rescue’s newest program, west of Buellton.

Volunteers will plant new crops, weed, and harvest tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, and ambrosia cantaloupes.

The Chumash Foundation is a longtime supporter of Veggie Rescue, and both organizations are headquartered in the Santa Ynez Valley.
